Decatur itself may not love us, but Wordsmiths does. And for that we are grateful.

We have now officially been to Wordsmiths Books in Decatur. The verdict? Sweet. Great building. Cool books. Awesome staff. Kati and John. And Russ. Russ is killer. Supportive and welcoming, a fan of Lucky Man and writers. A true gentleman. And that's good, right? Yes. Yes it is. Now, the attendance for tonight's reading, maybe not so good. Low actually. Minimal. Okay, none. Apparently we were competing against someone reading from their new civil war novel at the library down the street and being Atlanta and all we never stood a chance. But did we mention the building? And Russ? Or how Wordsmiths now has three autographed copies of Lucky Man for sale in the store and one on their permanent visiting writer's bookshelf? Because that's not bad. In fact it's quite good, and so we move on. And we are smiling.
